We believe that God has called every church to be involved locally, regionally, and globally. In God’s grace, we believe that achieving our vision requires:
1
Praying for the growth of the church globally;
2
Participating in mission projects as God provides opportunities; and,
3
Partnering with international churches to care and support their individual ministries.

Praying

Prayer is essential for both the specific mission efforts of CCK and the global work of reaching every nation with the Gospel.

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest (Matthew 9:36-38).”

In light of Jesus’ encouragement, we want to pray earnestly that God would use our church to send out workers into the harvest. Monthly mission prayer meetings are being held to facilitate prayer for missions and to educate the church on how to pray for international missions.

Participating

As a church we have specific opportunities to participate in the growth of the local church internationally. These efforts include short term mission trips, encouraging the work of individuals in the church involved in mission efforts, counseling and sending out missionaries as God calls, and direct partnerships with international churches.

Partnering

A primary desire of our church is to partner with international churches and ministries as God opens up opportunities. We continue to seek discernment about where God is leading us to partner. Current and recent partnerships include:

Lord’s Grace Church

was planted in 2009 and is working to build a solid gospel-centered church with a focus on building strong families and reaching out to young people in the city. CCK hopes to support the growth of the church through prayer, financial support, pastoral care, ministry development, outreach to the community, and future church planting.

Rancho 3M

is a Christian orphanage and school dedicated to helping children catch a vision for the glory of God and equipping them to live obedient to Him. In addition to providing supplies and other means of support, mission teams from CCK will continue to visit the orphanage to help with building projects and to care for the children and leaders serving there.

The Harvest is Plentiful… There and Here

Through praying, participating in mission efforts, and partnering with international churches, the International Missions Team desires to expand the global vision of our church and at the same time stir our member’s passion to serve locally. Our belief is that as we become more involved with the global work of God’s kingdom that our local church will be increasingly inspired to boldly proclaim His gospel in our community.
“The harvest here is indeed great, and the laborers are few and imperfectly fitted, without much grace, for such a work. And yet grace can make a few feeble instruments the means of accomplishing great things - things greater even than we can conceive.” - Hudson Taylor
