The generous gifts and offerings by God’s people enables Cornerstone Church of Knoxville to proclaim the Gospel throughout the city of Knoxville, on the campus of University of Tennessee, and throughout the world. We are committed to faithful stewardship of all the funds entrusted to our local church for the Glory of God.
Ways to give to Cornerstone Church of Knoxville:
Cash and Checks
Cash and checks are the most common way people give. Make checks payable to “Cornerstone Church of Knoxville”. Unless you designate a special fund (like VFC) in the memo section of the check, all gifts are directed to our general fund. If you would like to mail your check or set up an automatic draft from your bank, please send to: Cornerstone Church of Knoxville, 1250 Heritage Lake Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37922.
This allows you to give 24/7 through either a one-time gift or a recurring gift. In addition to making gifts to our regular offering, you can also make online gifts to the building fund, our campus ministry (Volunteers for Christ), campus interns, mission trips, benevolence fund, and other categories. Click here to make an online gift whether you are a member or a guest making a one-time gift.
CCK welcomes donations of stocks and mutual funds. If you own stocks and have held them for more than a year, you may be able to deduct the fair market value of the stock and not pay any capital gain tax if you donate the stock instead of selling the stock and donating the proceeds. A little planning in this area can help you take full advantage of the tax benefits available. Please contact Tommy Hill (email@example.com) for help with this.
Many companies allow their employees to make donations to charitable organizations through payroll deductions, and they often match a portion of these gifts. Contact your company’s Human Resources department to see if this option is available. Cornerstone Church of Knoxville (and its ministries like VFC) is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with the I.R.S. Contact Tommy Hill (firstname.lastname@example.org) for verification of their exempt status.
Wills and Bequests
A charitable gift can be given through your will or other estate plans. A planned gift at your death can honor the Lord and provide an example to your family (Proverbs 3:9-10). If you choose to include the church in your will or estate plan, please let your attorney know the church’s name and address and that the church is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Contact Tommy Hill (email@example.com) if you have any questions.
Give to Volunteers for Christ (VFC)
Since its inception in 1990, CCK has been committed to proclaiming the Gospel on the campus of University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Your giving to CCK through the above options helps support this ministry. In addition, you can give directly to VFC or its campus interns through all the options above. If you are interested in supporting VFC directly, follow the steps above and choose the designate fund for VFC for online gifts or write in your designation for VFC in the memo section of your check. For questions about making gifts directly to VFC, contact Zach Varnell (firstname.lastname@example.org). For more information on VFC, visit their website.
