It is impossible for us to overemphasize the importance of our small group ministry. Each week our church gathers on Sunday morning, but throughout the week we are scattered through the city of Knoxville to live out the gospel.
Small groups—or, as we call them, Community Groups—help us to live out our trust in Christ in community, in our everyday relationships and everyday life. As people stamped with the image of our Triune God and re-shaped by the gospel of Christ, we are created for community. This is what our Community Groups seek to facilitate. Contexts where we can pray for one another, encourage one another, show hospitality to one another (and to the stranger), and so on.
Therefore, Community Groups provide a vital opportunity for building relationships, growing in godliness, and evangelizing our neighbors.
Note: Our Community Groups meet on various nights of the week and at different times. Below is a list of all the Community Groups. If you plan to visit, you can call the Community Group leader for location, directions and to confirm that they are meeting. If you have any trouble or have other questions, contact the church office, by email or by phone 865-694-4356.
